I love singing at home and wanted somewhere I could sing with a bit more purpose and was hoping I would learn some new skills. I really love singing with Tom in his choir. I am impressed with how he can get a whole choir of people singing in melodies within one session! It's extremely satisfying. Singing makes me feel good and more often than not I would leave feeling on a high. It also tests my brain too, as I don't read sheet music and have to learn harmonies, rather than the usual melody. It adds to the sense of accomplishment at the end of each session. Who needs therapy, when you can go and sing?

I am writing this as an informal, customer reference for Tom Jones. I have been a member of Tom’s choirs for seven years, and can wholeheartedly recommend him. One almost takes for granted that he is incredibly musically gifted; that is the starting point for his varied musical endeavours. But what sets him apart from other talented musicians are his people skills; he makes everyone feel welcome and wanted, encouraging and enthusing in equal measure. He connects easily with people of all ages and from all walks of life, bringing them together and fostering a real team spirit.

Out There Music is a brilliant choir. It's completely welcoming of all ranges, and has a lovely warm, community feel. Tom is an excellent teacher - talented, patient and fun. I always walked into choir with a spring in my step and got such a buzz from singing together with friends. The concerts are a lot of fun and it's an incredible experience to sing in some beautiful venues in Bristol. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, warm and welcoming choir.

I have just had to email you to let you know that it was truly amazing to be part of and perform in the concert you created and made possible last Saturday. When I joined in January this year I was still in a very much challenging place recovering from my serious accident. As months were passing I looked back and could see measurable improvements in my physical and mental wellbeing. Thank you for your work that has lead me on a more positive aspect of my journey in recovery. My friends and family that attended were all flabbergasted to see what I had achieved. My sister said she hadn't seen me so happy for a long time.

Out There Music is an education as well as a delight, and Tom Jones is a wonderful teacher as well as musical director. It takes tremendous skill to handle such a range of voices and abilities, playing and singing along, and keeping all of them in mind. So when I am not singing myself or listening to others sing, I am marvelling at how he does it. The whole thing is an inspiration – musically, socially and personally.

Thank you so much for another fabulous term. I am so busy with work that it is rare for me to be able to find the time for other things in term time but I haven't missed a single rehearsal or performance since the south Bristol choir started. It's perfect as far as I'm concerned. Tom is a brilliant musician and teacher and incredibly inspiring. And the vibe suits me. Thank you so much for creating the best thing to have happened to Totterdown!

Thank you so much for another great concert at St Georges! It was wonderful to sing there to a packed house and I thought the organisation was faultless.

Dear Tom, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for giving me the opportunity to sing last Sunday. I think it was without doubt one of the highlights of my life - truly uplifting and I know that all my friends who came thought it was wonderful.

Just a note (no pun intended!) to say thank you SO much for having me in the Chamber Choir since the beginning. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot about singing and my voice in the process. Being part of something so wonderful has been a big support and boost to my confidence. The St George’s and especially the St Monica’s concerts were amazing and a real tribute to what we have all achieved with your expert help and enthusiasm. I’ve also made some great friends in the choirs.

Tom, I simply must thank you for the chance of being in last night's concert, which was a huge success. The finale with the lights down was fantastic but the best moment for me was the Elgar. That had a real spine-tingling bit for me when the choir held a long note over several bars about a third of the way through, plus, of course, the ending. I would love to be part of that again! Thanks to you for creating such an event, to Holly and to everyone who worked so hard to organise it and I hope you raised lots of money for Changing Tunes.

This was my first OTM Bristol concert, having only joined in September and I was not disappointed at all! It was so much fun and amazing how it all came together. My friends in the audience loved it! Well done for arranging such varied pieces and for putting together such a great show – the confetti and glow sticks were certainly a lovely touch. One of the people I brought along now wants glow sticks at his wedding!

Tom, thank you for your amazing talent and skills and not to mention your patience. Your team did a wonderful job too keeping everything flowing. It was incredible to be part of it all and I loved my first concert!

It has been such fun preparing the music for St George’s and the programme was a wonderful mix. Combining good music with fun visuals was a brilliant idea and appreciated by the audience. ‘Pompeii’ was a great hit with my guests!

Tom, I really enjoyed singing our three pieces and although at first it felt like diving into deep water without a lifebelt, it felt so exciting and was worth all the hard work! Thank you for getting us there and believing we could do it.

A huge thank you for all of your hard work preparing everyone for an inspiring St George’s concert and a really enjoyable term, rehearsing wonderful music. It is a huge privilege to be part of Out There Music’s Orchestra and have the opportunity to learn so much about music making.

I just want to say well done and thank you on what my family and I thought was a most enjoyable concert. My kid’s favourite piece was ‘Singing in the Rain’!

It was super playing at St George’s, especially the Nimrod and I am very glad Tom was able to turn around and see the glow sticks; the audience had a great sense of rhythm!

Tom, just to say a huge thank you for all of the energy and work you put into last night’s St George performance. I completely loved my first OTM Bristol concert performance and I know the audience loved it!

My husband and son were at the St George’s concert last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, but in particular they said the Requiem was spine-tingling!

Tom, thank you so much for such a wonderful concert at St George’s last night. It was an amazing experience and I hope you are feeling proud of what you have achieved!
