Out There Music Bristol – Summer Social – 5th July, 2022

It was great for the Out There Music Bristol Chamber and Community Choirs to be back performing again for the first time since the pandemic. Although laid back and intimate in our new home of Alma Church, both choirs sang really well and did themselves proud after such a long time away from singing in public.

The Chamber Choir opened with Finzi’s very challenging but finely sung Clear and Gentle Stream before letting the Community Choir take centre stage to sing Fields Of Gold. Afterwards music from both choirs included Damien Kehoe’s Flow Water, Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart, Tea for Two, Something, Someone Like You by Adele and a rousing rendition of Dancing Queen to finish!

Afterwards, everybody enjoyed socialising with some drinks and nibbles before drifting off into the warm evening.

It was a nice way to round off the half-year we have been back for since the pandemic. Hopefully everybody is looking forward to our next full year as much as I am. Have a great summer and see you soon!

Tom
