As you may know, the OTM Bristol Children’s Choir is now in its’ eighth year and we very recently moved to Cotham School. The new rehearsal space is amazing and is certainly helping build the choir into something quite special. I am delighted with the children that have joined so far and the fantastic quality of singing achieved in what has been a very short space of time.
Moving venues was always going to have its challenges but the new rehearsal day and facility is working well and the children are really enjoying singing music from ‘Matilda the Musical’. ‘When I Grow Up’ has definitely been a big hit!
I would personally like to say thank you to the parents of the children who have joined so far. Your support has not gone unnoticed and is very much appreciated. The Children’s Choir is an absolutely key part of OTMB and we could not do it without you. Thanks to you, my dream of building a truly ‘Bristol’ Children’s Choir with children from lots of different schools involved is starting to come true.
The Choir is growing from strength to strength and it’s an ideal time to come and see what we are all about. If your child loves singing and would like to do more, we meet every Wednesday in term time from 4.45pm -6.00pm in the Performing Arts Studio. All children age 7 – 13 from all schools in Bristol are welcome to come along to any rehearsal for a free taster session (please see ‘Children’s Choir’ for more information).
With an OTMB Children’s Show in the pipeline and our huge ‘Spring Concert’ at St George’s on 22nd May 2016, the year ahead for the Children’s Choir is shaping up to be the most exciting yet – watch this space!
